This dog park is a great place for Dog Training.  I like dog training in front of dog parks because the dog your training is excited and up. Also the distraction of the other dogs are a great way to test the dog's obiedence.  I will train dogs on and off leash in front of the park, but not in the park.

Off of 190th street in Redondo Beach is their city Dog Park.  Not overrun with dog walkers, relatively clean...some grass, but mostly bark.  Occasionally I see some aggression, but that is just the nature of dog parks in general.  The weekends can get cramped and crowded, and a lot of people are 'socializing' rather than paying attention to their animals.  There is a small dog area that is larger than most parks - which is awesome for the little guys!

Other than the Redondo Park there is little by way of off leash areas.  A narrow strip of real estate under the high tension wires that spans east/west between Inglewood and Aviation has not been developed and many people walk their dogs on the bike path.  I use this area to dog train a recall and stay commands on long ropes, and the occasional retreiving drills.
