Puppy training

The stages of your puppy’s development are tiny windows of opportunity to raise a well rounded and mannered dog. Housebreaking is just one aspect of your dog’s early education. Want to have a relationship bound up with love and mutual respect  for the next fifteen years?  It is crucial to be proactive by creating a safe, yet mentally stimulating environment, that is set up for success for you and your dog.

You’ll want to increase the odds that this new pup will be a good match for your lifestyle or your family. Some of the best methods for doing this are researching as much about your new family member as possible. Factors to consider are breed (and the breeder - different genetic lines can vary immensly), size, activity level, and the sex of the dog can have a huge impact on its life in your home.  One service we offer is to help our clients "pick a puppy" from a litter, as there are certain temperment tests that you can perform that can help identify temperment qualitiies and traits.  We do this on a case by case basis, depending on time constraints and the proximity to the litter in question.
